Welcome to “Best of Northern Nicaragua”, a new series by Surf Tours Nicaragua that will introduce you to what we consider to be the best parts of Northern Nicaragua.

Captain Jack’s Shark Pit (aka El Cedro), located in Leon’s center, for Taco Tuesday. Owner Captain Jack makes the best tacos in town and is no slouch on personality himself. He’s got beef, chicken, fish & shrimp varieties but the latter two take the show by far.
You may meet The Captain running around town toting groceries, clad in his white chef’s coat and his ever-present bandana concealing his long hair. And yes…his outfit wouldn’t be complete without a pirate’s beard.
You will find Captain Jack’s across from La Perla, which is arguably the finest hotel in Leon…but that is for another installment.
